Trip to Japan

Hello, everyone. Today, in this photo essay, I would like to share my memories at the trip to Japan. From June 24th to 27th, the 6th graders went to Japan for field trip. It was a short trip for 4 days, but I made a lot of good memories at Japan. At Japan, I went to Deer Park, Kum-gak temple, Heian Jingu Shrine, Kaiyukan, Shinsaibashi, and Universal Studios Japan.
Incheon International Airport
The 6th graders gathered at the school on 6:30 am. I arrived at the school at 6:00 am, and "Arghhhhh!!" I was so tired. We headed straight to Incheon International Airport. The teachers lent us to listen to the music on the bus, but most of the students slept at the bus. When we arrived at the airport, we checked our baggage and took the airplane. On the way to Japan, we ate breakfast. We were so loud on the plane that the teachers needed to look after us the whole time. Finally, we arrived at Osaka. YEAH!!
Deer Park in Nara
Next, we went to Deer Park in Nara. We first ate lunch and bought some souvenirs. I bought four souvenirs for each of our family. At the Deer Park, we fed the deer by ourselves and played around with them. The deer were freely walking around, so some of the classmates were afraid of them. However, some boys were so excited that they were running around and stepped on the deer's waste. Even though it was really hot and humid, we had fun time playing at the Deer Park.

WARNING!!
Also, there was a fun warning at the Deer Park^^ I highly recommend to visit Deer Park when  you come to Japan. You can make one of the best memories here.
Kum-gak temple in Kyoto
This is the picture of the second day at the field trip to Japan. We went to Kum-gak temple and it was amazing. The whole temple was decorated with gold. The shining temple behind my friends is Kum-gak temple. There is a fun history behind this beautiful temple. First, it was the emperor's temple, but one day, his soldier saw this temple. The soldier was attracted and took over the temple. After I saw this temple, I thought that even I would take over the temple. Wow, it was the most beautiful temple I have ever seen!! >.<
Heian Jingu Shrine in Kyoto
Next, we went to Heian Jingu Shrine, and when I first heard of its name, it sounded little bit strange. Do you think so, too?? Well, Heian Jingu Shrine is also a wonderful place,  too. As it became lunch time, it became hotter and hotter, and we got tired of visiting other places. My friends whined to the teachers that they wanted to eat lunch immediately, so we ate lunch after visiting Heian Jingu Shrine.
This is what we ate for lunch.
We ate Japan's traditional luncheon for lunch. I was not so hungry, so I didn't eat much of them. However, it was still delicious!! I loved it~>.<

Kaiyukan in Osaka
Wow, look at that picture!! My friends are being eaten by the shark!! Here is Kaiyukan, and you will be curious what is Kaiyukan. Kaiyukan is the largest aquarium among the Eastern countries. My friends and I almost didn't see the animals. Instead, we just ran around the aquarium and we could actually see that it was really big. On the way out, there was a program that we can actually touch the animals. My friends were scared, but I touched a shark!! Well, the shark was a bit small....^^
Universal Studios Japan in Osaka
On the third day, we spent the whole day at Universal Studios Japan, which is also called as USJ for the shortened phrase. We ate breakfast at the hotel and we bought the lunch by ourselves. My friends and I rode Hollywood Dream the Ride, Space Fantasy the Ride, Jurassic Park the Ride, Jaws, and Back to the Future the Ride. My favorite ride was Jurassic Park the Ride, but the waiting line was so long that we couldn't ride more. Instead, we rode Space Fantasy the Ride for 5 times!! I wanted to take the picture while I was riding Space Fantasy the Ride, but it was so fast that I almost dropped my camera!! Whew~ We ate frozen mango and a chicken for lunch and ate delicious meat for dinner. It was the best day among the four days of the field trip.
Shinsaibashi in Osaka
Finally, it became the last day of our trip to Japan. On the last day, we went to Shinsaibashi and had free time there. Shinsaibashi is like Myeongdong in Korea that we can buy various food or souvenirs. However, the free time was too short that I couldn't buy anything instead of an ice cream. WOW~~ I really had a fantastic time at Japan with my friends!! Bye~~ I highly recommend you to visit Japan!!

  1. Seungmin, great photo essay about Japan and writing about your experience supported the photos. Some photos do not show - please ask me or your TA to look at it and we can upload them. Good job - keep up the good work.
