Trip to Japan

Hello, everyone. Today, in this photo essay, I would like to share my memories at the trip to Japan. From June 24th to 27th, the 6th graders went to Japan for field trip. It was a short trip for 4 days, but I made a lot of good memories at Japan. At Japan, I went to Deer Park, Kum-gak temple, Heian Jingu Shrine, Kaiyukan, Shinsaibashi, and Universal Studios Japan.
Incheon International Airport
The 6th graders gathered at the school on 6:30 am. I arrived at the school at 6:00 am, and "Arghhhhh!!" I was so tired. We headed straight to Incheon International Airport. The teachers lent us to listen to the music on the bus, but most of the students slept at the bus. When we arrived at the airport, we checked our baggage and took the airplane. On the way to Japan, we ate breakfast. We were so loud on the plane that the teachers needed to look after us the whole time. Finally, we arrived at Osaka. YEAH!!
Deer Park in Nara
Next, we went to Deer Park in Nara. We first ate lunch and bought some souvenirs. I bought four souvenirs for each of our family. At the Deer Park, we fed the deer by ourselves and played around with them. The deer were freely walking around, so some of the classmates were afraid of them. However, some boys were so excited that they were running around and stepped on the deer's waste. Even though it was really hot and humid, we had fun time playing at the Deer Park.

WARNING!!
Also, there was a fun warning at the Deer Park^^ I highly recommend to visit Deer Park when  you come to Japan. You can make one of the best memories here.
Kum-gak temple in Kyoto
This is the picture of the second day at the field trip to Japan. We went to Kum-gak temple and it was amazing. The whole temple was decorated with gold. The shining temple behind my friends is Kum-gak temple. There is a fun history behind this beautiful temple. First, it was the emperor's temple, but one day, his soldier saw this temple. The soldier was attracted and took over the temple. After I saw this temple, I thought that even I would take over the temple. Wow, it was the most beautiful temple I have ever seen!! >.<
Heian Jingu Shrine in Kyoto
Next, we went to Heian Jingu Shrine, and when I first heard of its name, it sounded little bit strange. Do you think so, too?? Well, Heian Jingu Shrine is also a wonderful place,  too. As it became lunch time, it became hotter and hotter, and we got tired of visiting other places. My friends whined to the teachers that they wanted to eat lunch immediately, so we ate lunch after visiting Heian Jingu Shrine.
This is what we ate for lunch.
We ate Japan's traditional luncheon for lunch. I was not so hungry, so I didn't eat much of them. However, it was still delicious!! I loved it~>.<

Kaiyukan in Osaka
Wow, look at that picture!! My friends are being eaten by the shark!! Here is Kaiyukan, and you will be curious what is Kaiyukan. Kaiyukan is the largest aquarium among the Eastern countries. My friends and I almost didn't see the animals. Instead, we just ran around the aquarium and we could actually see that it was really big. On the way out, there was a program that we can actually touch the animals. My friends were scared, but I touched a shark!! Well, the shark was a bit small....^^
Universal Studios Japan in Osaka
On the third day, we spent the whole day at Universal Studios Japan, which is also called as USJ for the shortened phrase. We ate breakfast at the hotel and we bought the lunch by ourselves. My friends and I rode Hollywood Dream the Ride, Space Fantasy the Ride, Jurassic Park the Ride, Jaws, and Back to the Future the Ride. My favorite ride was Jurassic Park the Ride, but the waiting line was so long that we couldn't ride more. Instead, we rode Space Fantasy the Ride for 5 times!! I wanted to take the picture while I was riding Space Fantasy the Ride, but it was so fast that I almost dropped my camera!! Whew~ We ate frozen mango and a chicken for lunch and ate delicious meat for dinner. It was the best day among the four days of the field trip.
Shinsaibashi in Osaka
Finally, it became the last day of our trip to Japan. On the last day, we went to Shinsaibashi and had free time there. Shinsaibashi is like Myeongdong in Korea that we can buy various food or souvenirs. However, the free time was too short that I couldn't buy anything instead of an ice cream. WOW~~ I really had a fantastic time at Japan with my friends!! Bye~~ I highly recommend you to visit Japan!!

Creative Writing

One day, Kyle and his father were driving home at night. Suddenly, a truck smashed into the car. Kyle and his father got very serious injury. Then, the truck driver killed Kyle's father because he didn't want to be caught by police. He first broke the window and killed Kyle's father. He tried to kill Kyle, too, but the sound of a camera interrupted him. A girl who took the picture was Elin. The truck driver was afraid that she would tell the police, so the truck driver tries to kill Elin. Elin ran away behind the bushes, and she heard the truck driver saying, "Don't tell anyone. If you do, I will kill you, too." and as so as he said that, the police came and he ran away. The father was dead, but Kyle was still alive. When Kyle woke up at the hospital, he talked about what happened at that night when his father was killed.
The next day, there was a judgement to see whether the truck driver killed Kyle's father or not. He was caught by the CCTV nearby the road. Elin worried about whether she should come to the justice or not. She thought that she should tell the truth to everyone and say that the truck driver killed Kyle's father, but she was also scared that the truck driver would kill her, remembering what he said to her.

The Wizard of Oz

Hi, everyone. Few days ago, we watched "The Wizard of Oz." This movie is based on the book written by L. Frank Baum. This movie is made in 1939, so it is really old. This movie is classical fantasy, and I think this movie is very interesting because it's full of songs and dances. The most remarkable part among the singing was when Dorothy sang "Over the Rainbow."
At the beginning of the movie, someone took Dorothy's dog, Toto, but Toto jumps off the bicycle and came back home. However, the hurricane reached Kansas and in her dream, she dreams of Oz. Every time she goes to one place to another, she meets new friend. She met Tin Man, a lion, and a scarecrow. Dorothy and her friends went to Oz and met the Wizard of Oz. At the end of this movie, Tin Man gets heart, a lion gets courage, and the scarecrow gets brain. This movie ends with Dorothy waking up from her dream.
The main characters are Dorothy, Tin Man, scarecrow, a lion, Toto, god witch and a bad witch. This movie basically happens at Kansas and Oz.
I think this movie, "The Wizard of Oz" is a little bit boring since it was made in 1939, but I liked some parts where Dorothy sings "Over the Rainbow" and when they sang and danced every time the new friend joined. I think this movie required very hard effort and creativity. Two things that I learned from this movie was hard work and friendship. I learned to never give up and try your best to achieve your goal. Every time they were in trouble, they never gave up and tried their best to achieve their goal which was to meet Wizard of Oz and get brain, courage, and heart. Also, I learned to always believe in your friends and help each other. There were a lot of times when they faced new problems. However, they helped each other like when they rescued Toto from the bad witch, and gave each other bravery and energy so that they could achieve their dreams.
I think this movie give us good lessons, so I highly recommend it.

My Goals

A goal is something that you hope to achieve. Everyone has their own goal that they want to achieve. Do you have your own goals?I have my own, too. I have 3 goals for 30-day challenge. Those are growing 3cm, improve English, and get green cards or getting no EOP, yellow, red card. To grow 3cm and be healthy, I have to eat less sugar and caffeine. I think sleeping early is a good idea, too. I really need to read lots of English books and try not to make grammar mistakes to improve English. To get green cards and no yellow or red cards, I need to speak English all the time and participate in the class. If you do not have your own goal, make one now! It will be a good idea to think about the steps you need to take, too.
